Work has started on a £17m project to create a state-of-the-art super clinic in Pendleton

The health and social care centre in Broadwalk, Pendleton is a new generation of centres housing GP surgeries and council facilities. The centre will open late 2008.

The new three-storey centre will house seven GP's, specialist children and young people's health care services, a Salford council 'One Stop Shop', community rooms and a cafe. The Broadwalk Library will be relocated to the new centre.

The centre will provide modern health care in the most appropriate location for patients. The new centre will be the equal to any of NHS community services in the country.
