MaST LIFT have completed the £5.1m Cheetham Health Centre in North Manchester today, on time and within budget. The health centre will go operational within 24 hours, somewhat unusual, as the old Portakabin housing the existing doctor’s surgery is needed for car parking.

The new centre houses one of the largest pharmacies built in LIFT to date, and a full range of health services including podiatry, speech and language therapy, paediatrics and community nursing.

Richard Groome said ‘ I am delighted to complete one of the original MaST schemes, on a very difficult site, and deliver our 8th centre at a high quality level. For the doctors, a long wait to go from Portakabin to world class healthcare is now over, and once again we are able to lift the whole community with our new facility
