The 'Topping Out' Ceremony at Lower Kersal Health Centre was held on Friday 5th May.

The new £2.8m Health Centre based on Littleton Road next to St. Aidens Church. The building will be pleasing to the eye and consideration has been given to the design so that it compliments the adjoining Church.

The Health & Social Care Centre is seen as an integral part of the neighbourhood renewal and regeneration of the area.

The Centre will comprise of a GP Surgery, range of various health services. CHAPS will be also based in the centre. It is forecast for the Health Centre to be completed by November 2006.

In attendance at the 'Topping Out' was Richard Groome, Chief Executive of MaST LIFTCo, John Moran, Director of Laing O'Rourke and Eileen Fairhurst, Chairperson of Salford PCT. At the end of the Ceremony they placed a branch from a Yew tree into concrete at the top of the building. This is to thank everybody who has got the building to this stage of construction.
