MaST LIFTCo announces the forthcoming completion on 29th September of their next Manchester health facility, and a further step in the regeneration of East Manchester, with the 2.9m state of the art Openshaw Health Centre. Based on the Ashton Old Road, the building has been constructed by Laing O’Rourke Northern Ltd and has an eye catching design by MBLA Ltd Architects; it brings local healthcare in Openshaw into the 21st Century.

There will be 5 GP’s housed in the Health Centre plus a wide range of facilities across the 1,270 sq mtr including antenatal and midwifery, child assessment and counselling services. Community meetings, health clinics and well woman/man classes will also be held within the centre.

Richard Groome, Chief Executive of MaST said this is a further example of the successful partnership between Manchester City Council, New East Manchester Regeneration, North Manchester PCT and the private sector. This world class Health Centre will pay a key part in the physical and social regeneration of Openshaw and will significantly improve the health and well being of the existing and future population in that area.
